Suffix, real name Aubrey Ghambi on Monday dropped a new single titled Cholinga which got premiered on Made on Monday hosted by Joy Nathu on Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) radio 2.
The Lilongwe-based gospel hip hop artist said he composed the song to appreciate and focus on what God created him for.
He said: “Actually I thought of making this song after hearing the Cholinga Changa song from church during night of prayers that took place in my neighbourhood”.
“We are living for something on earth based on what the creator intends for us, so I thought it wise to spread the news and also appreciate what God does for me,” he said.
Suffix added that the response the song has received has been overwhelming.
He said that he decided to give the song a Manganje beat as he wanted both the young and the old to enjoy the tune.
Suffix said he is looking forward to seeing the song achieve what he intended which is to spread the gospel.
“As people enjoy the song, I pray that it impacts their lives in a positive way,” he said.
Suffix is currently working on an album. n
