Sulom registers 74 new players

The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has announced that about 74 new players had been registered at the time of closing the transfer window at the weekend.

Sulom general secretary Williams Banda said most of the transfers involved players from the lower leagues.

“Of course, some of them are still pending on the basis that the transaction was already in process,” said Banda.

According to The Nation findings, Big Bullets were probably the busiest team during the transfer window having splashed out almost K6 million.

They paid K3 million for Mussa Manyenje and Pilirani Zonda (Epac FC), and have also signed Tizgowere Kumwenda and Victor Limbani on loan from Blantyre United at K1.5 million, K2 million to Kabula United for Bashir Maunde.

Bullets were also finalising a K400 000 transfer deal for Moses Scott from lower league side Hardknockers. They have also signed Jimmy Zakazaka and Robson Banda as free agents. Tigers have signed Bernard Harawa, Peter Kasonga and Frazer Menyani.

Mighty Wanderers have signed Tsanzo Dalio and Bongani Zulu from Epac and Evirom respectively, but as of yesterday, it could not be established how much they paid for the two players. The Nomads were also negotiating for Blantyre United’s forward Sparrow Msowoya.

Silver have signed both Ignatius Makoloni and Blessings Kameza from Evirom.
