Three tie on Golden Boot Award race

The Golden Boot Award race has turned into a make-or-break in the Central Region Presidential football competition with three players scoring same number of goals.

Blue Eagles Youth Osman Chisinga, James Kasambala of Green Rangers and Chisomo Mboba Chilasa of Kasungu Police have six goals each.

According to fixtures secretary Edman Msokera, in case the three tie on goals scored , they will share K20 000 ($80).

Of the three, Chilasa could have an edge over his colleagues if he scores against Blue Eagles Youth in the regional finals on Sunday at Nankhaka ground. Chisinga will miss the finals as he is in Mtakataka for police training.

“This is a golden chance for me to win the boot. I want to finish with nine goals and I can see myself achieving it,” said Chilasa.
