Tips for BBA representatives

Listen to this article

Tonight, all eyes will be glued to the television sets beaming the start of Big Brother Africa (BBA) 8.

Some BBA followers tip the representative to be natural.

“Malawi should win the cash prize this year. What I have observed from the previous shows is that our candidates do not want to live as Malawians when they are in the house. We need an identity and neutral character that pleases and entertains both Malawians and other people outside the country,” said Prince Kholowa, a resident of Chirimba in Blantyre.

Another BBA show follower, Grace Ndolo, advises the housemates to go with a competitive attitude.

“Representatives should exercise self-control and an ability to see how other contestants are playing the game. Gossiping, violence, too much smoking and drinking also affect one’s relationship with viewers,” she says.

A representative of BBA Stargame Alinafe Kulemeka has this to say:

“The game needs a formula and one needs to plan it in advance. They should not be shy and feel intimidated. They should live a self-styled life.”

Hazel Warren, another former BBA star, advises the representative to formulate a winning strategy.

“When in the house, they should not pretend because it leads to exposing two different characters that might also affect them.

“Again, they should not be too docile and too active because from my observation eviction hits first at very active characters. Finally, we want to see a winning attitude and not just participative traits,” says Warren.
