TNM on Wednesday held the first Zampira Promotion monthly draw at the integrated mobile network and ICT service providers’ offices in Blantyre.

Two subscribers emerged winners and got K100 000 after predicting correctly the results of the match between Kamuzu Barracks and Moyale Barracks.

One of the winners, Patrick Funsani, a Mzimba-based Be Forward Wanderers supporter, could not believe it when TNM senior manager for enterprise services and sponsorship Limbani Nsapato called him to break the news.

The motorcycle mechanic said: “I thank God for the correct prediction. Many people entered the competition. It took the grace of God for me to win. I also thank TNM for introducing the competition. I hope there will be more of such competitions in future.”

Nsapato said they were overwhelmed by the response of football fans since the competition started a month ago.

“This year’s promotion is a game changer in that apart from predicting results, customers will also receive important update on progress of the league,” he said.

Over K8 million is expected to be won by football fans with the ultimate winner carting home K1.5 million at the end of the season for predicting the winner of the league.

To enter the competition, subscribers send an SMS of their prediction to code 1515.

Three winners get K50 000 every week while other 50 win airtime.

So far, 38 070 entries have been registered with 1 051 being correct. n
