TNM super league sponsorship

Listen to this article

On behalf of the Malawi Government, in particular the Ministry of Labour, Youth, Sports and Manpower Development hereby expresses our sincere gratitude and appreciation to TNM for reconsidering their earlier position to withdraw from sponsoring the Super League of Malawi (SULOM); following extensive negotiations between Hon. Henry Mussa, MP, Minister of Sports on behalf of Government and Mr Douglas Stevenson the Chief Executive Officer on behalf of TNM.

Hon. Henry Mussa
We are also grateful to CFTC Board and their parent Ministry of Industry and Trade for their subsequent and clearer interpretation of their earlier decision that the current Agreement/Contract be maintained until the year 2020, enough transitional period to allow the Malawi National Council of Sports and other stakeholders time to come up with a comprehensive roadmap and rules and regulations to govern the future contracts/agreementsreasonable to all competing sports.

Once again, I thank TNM Board through the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Douglas Stevenson for the positive contribution to the development of Malawi Football over the past 10 years and many more years to come.

MINISTER OF LABOUR, YOUTH, SPORTS AND MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT

Douglas Stevenson,
