TNM will tomorrow take its smart data product, E-Wimax to golfers in Zomba where an 84-strongfield is expected to tee-off on the Gymkhana Club greens.
The mobile service providers’ Southern Region head Francis Mwamadi said the event follows a successful TNM Malawi Open Golf Championships held in April at Lilongwe Golf Club (LGC), where the company had a promotion of wide-range Smart Data products.

“This weekend’s tournament gives us opportunity to showcase our high-speed internet capabilities while, at the same time, allowing our customers to have fun on the golf course,” he said.
Mwamadi said TNM is proud to promote e-Wimax on the golf platform as the sport attracts a wide base of tech-savvy and upwardly mobile data consumers.
“Many of our existing and potential customers are golf enthusiasts and Saturday’s tournament is an opportunity for the golfers to kill two birds with one stone; getting acquainted with the E-Wimax high-speed internet data products and enjoy their swing on the greens,” he said.
TNM returns to the Gymkhana Club after hosting a similar tournament last November when Rex Kathewera and Sheila Golowa took the crowns in men’s and ladies’ categories, respectively.
