Treatment starts Chigumula Pool on high note

Treatment on Saturday started the Lefnos Chigumula Central Region Pool League (CRPL) campaign on a high note after they beat Infinity 6-2 at Kanengo, Lilongwe.

Treatment led 3-1 at half time through George Dickson, Kondwani Mphande and Wilson Kanyoza.

The home side sealed victory when Rodrick ‘Teacher’ Square beat Mark Likoswe on frame number seven.

Infinity earned a point in either half  through Limbani Mvula and Pachalo Maganizo who beat Tasiziyo Denison and Wedson Mukhondia respectively.

Infinity technical director Steve Mumba attributed the defeat to lack of composure on the part of his  players while his counterpart Wedson Mukhondia praised his troops for the victory.

In other results, Incognito overcame Friends Corner 5-3.

At half time they led 3-1 with scores from Fred Ndelezina, Jafali Daud and Junior Harison while Gowl Kholowa, the only female on

the line up, scored for Friends Corner.

Gaza and Achewa both registered 5-3 victories over Macheza and Siege respectively while Fresh Air stunned Umqombothi 6-2 while FIB and Michigan settled for a 4-4 draw.

CRPL tournament director Brutus Ndhlovu expressed satisfaction with the way the league has started.

The games are played on best-of eight frames. n
