Usi summoned over “bloodsucking” remarks

Southern Region Police on Monday October 9 2017, summoned popular dramatist Michael Usi over the comments he made through the media in relation to the issue of bloodsuckers, an issue that has recently brought fear among people of some Southern Region districts including Mulanje, Thyolo and Nsanje.

Usi, popularly known as Manganya, confirmed to Nation Online in of his questioning by police but applauded them for handling the issue professionally.

He said the issue was politically motivated and accused an unnamed Cabinet minister from Mulanje whom he said masterminded his summoning.
