Wbam Eastern Region in fundraising big walk
Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Association of Malawi (Wbam) Eastern Region Committee has organised a fundraising big walk from Pajokala Lodge to Shoprite in Zomba tomorrow.
According to the committee’s chairperson Bright Limani, the activity aims at raising funds for food items for inmates at Zomba Maximum Prison and improving the fitness levels of Zomba residents.
He said apart from the big walk, bodybuilders, including Mr. Zomba Thoko Kakhongwe, will be showcasing their skills at Naisi Trading Centre, Chinamwali Township, Matawale Township and Zomba Shoprite.
“We are, therefore, urging all fitness lovers to join us in the big walk and enjoy the fitness experience with us. We also ask well-wishers to donate items such as soap and food to be distributed at Zomba Maximum Prison,” he said.
Kakhongwe, who won the Mr. Zomba crown two months ago, said as sports personalities, they have the responsibility to contribute towards the well-being of the needy in their fold.
