Zimbabwe housemates in war of words

 

While Malawi’s Wati and Nafe have opted for a laidback raid in the multi-million kwacha Big Brother Africa reality show, Zimbabwean housemates have been gossiping and fighting against each other all the way.

Here are highlights of a war of words between Roki and Maneta who fly Zimbabwe’s flag in the Upville House.

 

Roki on Monday nominated Maneta for eviction and the latter was rightly suspicious her countryman had deliberately put her up for the chop. Relations between the two will continue to sour.

 

Maneta on Monday badmouthed Roki, referring to him as an uneducated secondary school dropout despite his fame and dime.

 

Said the former Downviller: “Roki is not a celebrity. How do you call someone who produced his last song years ago a celebrity? Roki does not even own a car while I drive back home.

 

“The guy is just a loser, broke and he is a stranger to me. As far as I know, I came here alone . . .”

 

Later, Roki told Maneta to stop gossiping and that she was not a good representative for Zimbabwe because of her character.

 

“What were you studying again? Stupidity? Stop bad-mouthing us (Zimbabweans) because you never say nice stuff about us. You are too spoilt,” countered Roki.

 

The drama began after Maneta was elevated from the Downville house to the Upville mansion. Roki, who has a soft spot for women, tried his luck on Maneta on her first day in the house, but failed as she clearly told him to leave her alone.

 

But last week they seemed to get along with Roki at one point giving Maneta an “intimate” massage.

 

But all is forgotten now and Maneta is gossiping about Roki, telling other housemates he is a loser back home and has several babies with different women. She claimed Zimbabweans were illiterate.

 

Maneta seemed to be losing support from followers of the show and her fellow countrymen with some administrators of her Facebook fan page, Big Brother Stargame Maneta, resigning.

 

Some Zimbabwean Big Brother fans are not happy with Maneta after her several bust ups with fellow Zimbabwean Roki. They feel she can hang.

 

Maybe the Zimbabweans bust-up is the Malawians’ chance.
