For the first time ever, Robin’s Park Arena in Blantyre will host 10 bouts, both local and international, in a single night when the Iron Fist Knockout Extravaganza rolls out on December 18.

No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions in collaboration with Zimbabwe’s Delta Force Academy have organised the event that will have a 12-round super welterweight title bout between Limbani Masamba and Ernest Msoliza as the headliner and see reggae artist Blasto and Deejay Kenny Klips spicing up the show.

According to No Pain No Gain chief executive officer Craig Rousseau, Malawi Defence Force (MDF) boxer Chrispin Moliati will take on Laston Kayira in the main supporting eight-round featherweight bout.

“It will be a night of boxing feast. The bouts and music performances will start at 5:30pm and the entertainment will be on the whole night,” said Rousseau, adding, the main title bout will be very interesting as both fighters won their last bouts through knockouts.

In six-round supporting international matches, Zimbabwe’s Bantamweight boxer Tinashe Mwadziwana will face Malawian Boniface Stenala while local Middleweight champion Felix Mwamaso will be up against Zimbabwean Nicola Mutonhora. Female boxers Kudakwashe Chendawire of Zimbabwe and Malawian Duduzire Kamwamba will face-off in a bantamweight rematch after a recent draw.

In other local supporting bouts, Charles Misanjo will sort it out with Bright Mdoka in six-round welterweight fight whereas Steven Mariko will battle it out with Jonas Kakwere in a four-round lightweight non-title bill.

No Pain No Gain new signing Emmanuel Chimanja will exchange punches with Yusuf Ali in a bantamweight four-rounder before the just-turned-professional female boxer Anisha Bashir takes to the ring against Ruth Chisale in four-round welterweight rematch after a draw. n
