BSM general secretary Davis Saddo said the names have been identified from all the beach soccer playing centres in the country and he believes if the players are blended well they can pull a surprise at this inaugural tournament.

“It has not been easy to come up with the twenty players which translates into five players from the four playing zones. At a national level, there are so many players who throughout the years have shown commitment, determination and have exhibited rare talent,” said Saddo in an interview on Monday.

The selected 20 players will undergo intensive physical training and ball work techniques under the stewardship of Fifa certified  coach Stereo Gondwe.

“Training is expected to start today in Salima. The association has partnered with Sunbird Livingstonia where the team will be training,” said Saddo.
