Bullets vice-general secretary Higger Mkandawire on Monday confirmed the rolling out of the IDs project.
“We have pegged the IDs at K500 ($3), then we will narrow down to specific membership card categories. We are processing cards for 200 fans who have shown willingness. The cards will help us establish the actual number of our supporters,†he said.
Only members with IDs will have a say in the club’s affairs, including buying shares and attending annual general meetings once the holding company is registered, he said.
“This membership initiative might have failed before, but for us it is a question of learning from the past. If Bullets has indeed four million followers, then we should realise enough to keep the team going,†said Mkandawire.
He added that members have to register their names first , then pay to have their IDs processed.
