Icam gets Zeze Kingston experience

Amapiano star Zeze Kingston on Friday put up a five-star performance at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (Icam) annual lakeshore conference which took place over the weekend in Mangochi.

During the cocktail party hosted for the participants, they had no idea about what next awaited them.

What followed was the shout of the popular trademark phrase “Zeze we wanna party” which is synonymous with the Alamu Anu creator.

That signalled the arrival of Zeze Kingston, who was with his celebrity wife Dorothy.

The audience, which had started dispersing, found a reason to hang around. Zeze Kingston brought fresh energy to the event.

He dished out some of his popular tunes such as Chule, Alamu Anu, Tchekera Maluzi, Kusangalala, Mphaka Wachoka and Ndathera Pano in a set which lasted close to an hour.

As the musician performed, patrons mobbed him in search of an opportunity to take a selfie with him.

Zeze Kingston’s performance at the Icam conference was courtesy of HS Winehouse Beverages and Hospitality, makers of the CapeStars liquour spirits.

The company’s general manager Darlington Ndasauka said the presence of The Kingstons at the event facilitated an interactive platform with their potential customers.

“Icam members are our market niche for our brands and the conference is one of the biggest in the country where  financial gurus come with their families to participate; hence, our decision to come and showcase our brands through a surprise visit by CapeStars brand ambassador,” he said.
