47 year-old man in for impregnating biological daughter

Police in Mwanza have arrested 47 year-old Peter Mingisoni for impregnating his 16 year-old biological daughter.

Speaking in an interview today, Mwanza police spokesperson Edwin Kaunda said investigations have revealed that the suspect started having sexual intercourse with the girl in 2012.

“The girl told us she used to have sexual intercourse with her father in their maize garden located about 50 meters from their house. She further told us she was afraid to reveal the ordeal because he threatened to kill her if she did,” said Kaunda.

According to Kaunda, the issue came to light after the girl became pregnant.

Medical examination at Mwanza District Hospital revealed that the girl is seven months pregnant, said Kaunda.

“Mingisoni was arrested immediately and is waiting to appear in court to answer the charge of Incest, contrary to section 157 of the Penal Code.”

Mingisoni hails from Kasampha village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Nthache in Mwanza.
