54-year-old man murdered in Ntchisi

A 54-year-old man has been murdered in Ntchisi police have said. Ntchisi Police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha identified the deceased as Jericho Msonthi from Chinkhande Village, Traditional Authority Kalumo in the district. M’bumpha said Msonthi left his home for drinking on Thursday morning and didn’t come back until Friday when his body was found near Chiwizi stream in a nearby village. “A post-mortem conducted at Ntchisi District Hospital revealed that the cause of death was due to loss of blood and severe soft tissue injuries and police are still hunting for Msonthi’s assailants,” he said.
