BBA auditions start in Lilongwe
More males auditioned for season nine of Big Brother Africa as the search for Malawi’s representative commenced.
Of the 30 people auditioned at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe by noon yesterday, only six were females.
The 28 auditioned included former Miss Matofotofo Florence Banda, radio personality Tadala Mandala and rapper Third Eye.
With details sketchy as MultiChoice Malawi officials were busy with the auditioning process, reports indicate that some of the hopefuls have been given the golden ticket to return tomorrow for the last round of auditions.
The auditions mark the journey of another epic season of Africa’s biggest reality show which kicks off on September 7 at Sasani Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Previous editions of Big Brother Africa have boasted huge cash prizes for winners and it is no different this time as the prize money is $300 000.
Big Brother Africa 9 will be screened live 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198 while GOtv audiences will see highlights of the show.
