Missing Burundian child found dead

Police in Salima have said a Burundian child who went missing last week Monday has been found dead in the waters of Lake Malawi in the district. Salima Police spokesperson Gift Chitowe said the deceased, Dusenge Denis, 8, who was in a company of friends, went to the lake for Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. “While there, late Denis went into the water to swim and drowned, but his friends did not realise he was missing until they left,” said Chitowe.—TITUS LINZIE, Correspondent
