Be Forward Wanderers FC are yet to sign contracts with their coaching panel.

The Nomads’ vice-chairperson Gift Mkandawire and head coach Yasin ‘Titch’ Osman yesterday confirmed that they are yet to put pen to paper.

Osman, his assistant Bob Mpinganjira and technical director Jack ‘Africa’ Chamangwana’s contracts expired at the end of last season and despite the Lali Lubani Road’s verbal commitment that they would be offered new deals, they are yet to get them.

Osman: It is an administrative issue

However, Mkandawire played down the issue in an interview yesterday, saying: “In principle, we agreed on the new deals but what remains is the actual signing.

“We are only waiting for the template from our secretariat to finalise everything.”

Mkandawire said the trio will be offered a three-year deal.

On his part, Osman said: “We haven’t yet signed the contracts, but it is the executive that is supposed to comment on that because it is an administrative issue.”

Last season, the Nomads won the Carlsberg and Fisd Challenge cups as well as the Luso TV Bus Ipite Bonanza. Recently, they also won the Wafawafa Big Four Bonanza.

However, they struggled in the Super League in which they finished on unenviable sixth position.

They have since set the league title as one of the targets for their coaching panel in the coming season. n
