Big Bullets have moved up from ninth to sixth position on the TNM Super League log table following their 2-0 defeat of Azam Tigers on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium.

After 12 games, ruthless Silver Strikers lead the table on 26 points from 12 games. Second-placed Civo United have 22 points also from 12 games.

The Bankers thumped Moyale Barracks 5-2 with Tony Chitsulo claiming the first hat-trick of the season while Ndaziona Daisi and Ndaziona Chatsalira banged a goal each. It was Chatsalira’s second goal in two consecutive games. Crispin Fukizi and Victor Phiri scored for Moyale.

The Moyale pair also found the back of the net in their 3-2 loss to Blue Eagles on Sunday.

The winger Daisi too has now scored four goals in four games. Frank Banda and Peter Mwenda were on target for Silver in Sunday’s 2-0 beating of rookies Bvumbwe Research.

Red Lions are third on 21 points from nine games and could catch up with Silver if they make use of their three-game advantage.

Tigers, who succumbed to Gabadinho Mhango’s brace on Sunday to end his league scoring drought, are fourth on 18 points from 12 games. On 17 points, Mighty Wanderers complete the top five slots.

Down the 15-member table, Escom’s goalless draw with Kabwafu has given the Electricians temporary reprieve as they climbed off the bottom to the 14th place on eight points from nine games.
