‘Women should live exemplary lives’

Women should apply the lessons and principles they learn from the Bible to help them live exemplary lives, says women’s coordinator for Rumphi CCAP Presbytery Francis Chilongo.

Chilongo made the appeal last Sunday at the end of a four-day women’s conference held at Mzokoto CCAP Church in the district.

Quoting John 4 v 17, she said the woman in the story was honest in telling Jesus the truth about her marital status.

Chilongo said this is a virtue women should emulate today.

“We too need to be honest in our lives. Let’s seek God’s guidance when we face problems,” said Chilongo who is retiring in December after serving in different presbytery offices in the Livingstonia CCAP Synod for 26 years.

“You are like salt, so reflect this in your daily lives,” she said.
