Airtel excites golfers in Lilongwe

6TH November 2014: Golfers in the Capital City Lilongwe will this weekend be treated to a two day open stroke tournament championship powered by Airtel Malawi.

Airtel Malawi Managing Director Heikko Schlittke said the tournament was a token expressing a gesture of thanks for golfers’ passion of the brand Airtel.

“Airtel is back in full force in the world of golfers and as promised, we are keeping our world to grow our partnership with the sport of golf.

“Airtel believes that our diversity in the sponsorship of various sports disciplines provides us an opportunity to interact with our subscribers at different levels thereby building the brand muscle,” he explained.

Golf bags and state of the art handsets are awaiting outstanding golfers of this tournament.

According to Schlittke, Airtel was posed to bringing more modern customer centred products and services that were not only innovative but also affordable.

This becomes the third golf tournament for Airtel to sponsor within a space of two months.
