Airtel powers golf team trip to Uganda

In a typical spirit of a sport passionate brand, Airtel Malawi has donated K4 million to the Golf Union of Malawi (GoUM) to enable the national team travel to Uganda to participate in the Zone IV event next month.

Airtel managing director Heiko Schlittke said yesterday that the company had always enjoyed a good partnership with golfers; hence, the support towards golf.

“We appreciate their support to the brand; we salute their integrity and professionalism. We are also confident that they will do us proud in Uganda,” he said.

Fifteen teams from across Africa are expected to take part in this year’s edition of the tournament slated for April 14 – 18 in Kampala, Uganda.
