Appreciate her

There are women whose work centres around household chores, well cleaned children and husband. She may also get involved in a small business to help with the income in the home. Many times a few kind words of appreciation from her husband would soothe the irritations of her day.

When a woman does not feel appreciated, she may deliberately try to provoke attention like headaches, dizziness, backaches and complaints about endless fatigue. Husbands of such wives could save themselves a small fortune on medical bills by whispering a few well timed words of love and appreciation along with a few kwachas worth of flowers.

Secondly, a woman needs to hear over and over again from her husband how attractive she is, compliments on her hair, figure or her dress are always in order. Especially it is true as she passes 40. We cannot ignore the fact that a younger woman can appear attractive to older men, consequently, a woman painfully recognises what the passing years are doing to her face, hair, figure.  She needs reassurance that she is still attractive, interesting and sexy.

Many women complain that their husbands show attention or affection only when they want to engage in sexual relations. A wife who never receives attention except during intercourse will grow to reject her husband and their sexual advances, so the man who wants his wife to welcome his sexual advances will often give her a special smile, a wink across a crowded room, good and loving comments not being indifferent always and too busy to notice the presence of one’s wife.
