Defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets were yesterday held to another goalless draw by a strong-willed Mzuzu University (Mzuni) FC at Mzuzu Stadium in a TNM Super League match which failed to stir the passions.

Despite collecting just two points from their Northern Region foray—after being held to another barren draw by Moyale Barracks on Saturday—the People’s Team remain on third position with 33 points from 19 games just like Silver Strikers, who have dropped to fourth position due to an inferior goal difference. The Bankers also have two games in hand.

Mafco FC are now second following their 1-0 win over Epac FC. They now have 34 points from 18 games, a point short of leaders Blue Eagles. Silver Strikers have now dropped to fourth position. Just like Bullets, they also have 33 points, but have an inferior goal difference

At Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, Azam Tigers registered the highest scoring so far in the top-flight league with a 7-1 demolition of Karonga United who on Saturday were also clobbered 4-0 by Be Forward Wanderers.

In other games, PremierBet Wizards beat Max Bullets 2-1 while Kamuzu Barracks beat Red Lions 2-0. n
