BB not moved with Zomba Utd’s Carlsberg talk
Big Bullets chairperson Kondi Msungama has said they are not moved by Zomba United’s bold declaration that they will win the Carlsberg Cup final.
Soon after booting out current holders Kamuzu Barracks (KB), Zomba’s director and coach Alinafe Noel Gobede said: “With God everything is possible and we believe we will beat Bullets and lift the cup.”
The Bullets boss said United are living in a world of fantasy.
“Those are just mind games to instil fear in us that God is on their side. God is for all of us and the best team on that day will win the match.
“Bullets are not KB or Blue Eagles and the fact that they beat these teams is no guarantee that they will beat us and I would advise Zomba United to slow down because they will not be meeting an ordinary team,” warned Msungama.
Gobede said their qualification into the finals is not a fluke.
But the Zomba United mentor said God has been the conductor of their orchestra.
“We have belief in God Almighty. We are not in the finals by chance and we are going to win the cup, that is our ultimate goal,” said Gobede.
One of the team’s key players Waddle Ching’oma said they are not afraid of facing Bullets.
“To us Kamuzu Barracks stood in our way, now the path is clear, God will deliver us to the promised land,” said Ching’oma.
It has not been an easy ride for the old capital—based outfit to reach this far. Apart from KB, they saw off Blue Eagles, Support Battalion and Blantyre United.
