BB Presidential Cup bash Saturday

After ending their 10-year cup drought, rejuvenated Big Bullets FC have every reason to make merry.

They have organised a party at their Mandala clubhouse in Blantyre on Saturday in conjunction with their sponsor Carlsberg Malawi Limited to celebrate their Presidential Cup triumph.

Both Bullets chairperson Malinda Chinyama and Carlsberg’s senior brands manager [alcoholics] Twikale Chirwa said preparations for the event are at an advanced stage.

Chinyama said the party will also be part of a fund-raising venture and they are targeting to raise about K200 000.

“We are asking our supporters and well-wishers to come and celebrate the team’s resurgence.

“Charges will be K500 all around and Carlsberg will assist us with musical equipment and drinks. There will also be a braai and the prices will be modest,” said Chinyama.

Chinyama said the bash will start at 11am

He also said renowned deejays Joy Natho, Ephraim ‘Easy E’ Nyirenda and Mike Chilimampunga will dish out the music.

Chirwa confirmed that Carlsberg will be there to provide excitement.

“As sponsors, we recognise the team’s achievement and we’ll be there to add to the excitement. It definitely calls for a Carlsberg!” Chirwa said.
