Entry tickets for Saturday’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final preliminary round qualifier between the Flames and Benin are currently on sale.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda said the pre-sale of ticket started last week at Chiwembe Technical Centre and extended to other points on Tuesday.

“From today, tickets will be sold at Blantyre Youth Centre and Kamuzu Stadium,” said Nyirenda, adding FAM’s expectation is K17 million gross from gate-revenue.

“If we can make K17 million or thereabout from open stands, it should be satisfactory,” he said.

According to Nyirenda, tickets for open stands are going at K1 000, MBC Stand has been pegged at K2 000, covered stand at K5 000 and K10 000 for VIP Stand.

Meanwhile, Carlsberg Malawi, official sponsors of the Flames, have launched an activation where fans who patronise outlets which sell Carlsberg beer will win entry tickets to the Open Stands and they have set aside 1 000 tickets.

The match will be played at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.
