A man carrying charcoal cycles past a billboard depicting former president the late Bingu wa Mutharika’s and his famous slogan Lolani ntchito za manja anga zindichitire umboni (Let the works of my hands speak for me) at Kamphata Trading Centre along the Lilongwe-Blantyre Road.

Two months after his death on April 5 2012, Mutharika’s mottos still appear in some billboards, silently reminding Malawians of some projects he implemented during his rule. —Amos Gumulira, Staff Writer
