The Eagles have joined Kamuzu Barracks (KB) and defending champions Spikers who sailed through to the finals last weekend as Central Region representatives.

The finals have attracted VCT Thunders, Naming’omba and Zomba Smashers from South while the North has Moyale, Police Eagles Claws and Katoto Trickers.

Central Region Volleyball League (CRVL) chairperson Robert White said they have trust in the teams that they will retain the national championship title.

“We want to go, play and enjoy the game of volleyball, but above all win in both men’s and women’s categories. The fact that these teams have qualified means that they are currently the best teams in the league and they are our flag carrier, so we will all support them,” said White.

In ladies category, Blue Eagles and Natural Resources College made it to the finals in the Centre whereas as the other regions will have select teams.

Blue Eagles ladies senior player Elizabeth Kalitsiro said they are optimistic about clinching the honours.
