BSC’s chair fundraising golf, dinner tomorrow
Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) will tomorrow host a chairperson’s fundraising golf tournament and dinner.
According to BSC ladies golf captain Connie Muguvu Karuku, proceeds from the event will go towards the maintenance of the golf course bridges that were damaged by floods.
“The tournament will be played in doubles and we have a sizeable number of sponsors so far.
“The dinner will start at 7pm and is open to members and the general public,” said Muguvu.
She said tickets are on sale at BSC reception.
The charges are K10 000 for single, K20 000 doubles and K5 000 for children under the age of 12.
“We also want the public to know that the golf community is willing to connect with anybody of good character and it is not a game of pride as perceived by some,” she said. n
