Blantyre City Presbytery Chaplaincy Committee of the CCAP Blantyre Synod

last Saturday donated assorted items valued at over K400 000 to maternity wards at Limbe, Ndirande and Bangwe health centres.

The committee gave 50, 20 and 32 hampers of sugar, salt and two kilogrammes (kg) of rice to the three health centres respectively.

The committee’s vice-chairperson Jones Ngayiyaye said their ministry raised the items to improve the welfare of expectant mothers in less-targeted health facilities.

In a sermon given during the visit at Bangwe Health Centre—based on Luke 7—Havey Changa, a member of the committee, advised the mothers to have faith in God.

“Children come from God. Those who have delivered must thank God for the life and those yet to deliver should have faith in God as He is the Life,” he said.

Bangwe Health Centre nurse-midwife Tinkhani Lungu was delighted with the visit and asked the committee to reach out to other health centres.

“We are happy that we are one of the beneficiaries. Please continue to pray for the sick and help us from time to time,” said Lungu. n
