Local football powerhouse Big Bullets FC is targeting K15 million from the TNM Sapota Mapeto SMS promotion.

Bullets marketing manager Dan Mbebuwa said having raised K7 million halfway through the promotion, the target is to hit K15 million.

“If we have made K7 million in three months, we are optimistic that if we step up our marketing drive then we should make another K8 million,” said Mbebuwa during the promotion’s seventh draw held in Blantyre on Tuesday.

Mbebuwa also thanked the club’s supporters for their relentless participation in the promotion.

Mighty Wanderers have made K3 million, translating to K10 million for the Blantyre traditional arch-rivals from the K11.29 million that has been made so far.

In the last two weeks, Bullets made K541 000 from 19 347 hits while the Nomads earned K208 292 from 7 439 hits. Silver Strikers are third having made K88 228 from 3 151 hits.

Red Lions is still the lowest earner having basked just K112 from four hits.

Meanwhile, TNM public relations and sponsorship manager Limbani Nsapato disclosed that the promotion has generated K11.29 million halfway through this year’s exercise, which was what was realised last year.

“It shows that the promotion is gaining ground and supporters have realised that they can complement their respective teams’ finances through this initiative,” he said.

During the draw, some supporters won prizes such as cellphones, footballs, branded vuvuzelas and airtime.
