Bullets to host awards gala
TNM Super League champions Nyasa Big Bullets will host an awards gala on March 29 at Comesa Hall in Blantyre to reward last season’s outstanding players.
The People’s Team senior business development manager Kelvin Moyo yesterday said the awards will include Player of the Season, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Top Goal Scorer, Most Improved Player and Most Disciplined Player.
“It will be a red carpet event and the dress code will be strictly smart. The outstanding players will be rewarded with K500 000 each,” he said.
Moyo said the event will be beamed live on Mibawa Television who are in partnership with Bullets.
He said outstanding players will be voted for by registered members only by dialling *477# on TNM and Airtel lines.
“Then they will be required to select members only, enter membership number and then select voting from where they will choose a category.
“There is a list of competing players that will appear under each category, which has been selected randomly, but from next year it will be done through a panel of technical experts, ” Moyo said.
The Bullets official said charges will be K500 000 for platinum corporate table, K300 000 for gold corporate table and K200 000 for silver corporate table.
Mapale and Maule members will pay K10 000 and K5 000 each, respectively.
Meanwhile, Moyo has said membership registration can also be accessed electronically by dialing *477# and instructions will follow.
Bullets captain John ‘Kintu’ Lanjesi commended the team’s management for organising the awards, saying they help motivate players.
