Musician Code Sangala, commonly known as C.O and is popular for his appearance as a Malawi representative in Big Bother Africa, is scheduled to perform at Blue Elephant on Friday.

In his first ever solo performance, the artist will perform a live performance backed by Mizu Band as a promotional drive to his first solo album, Solo.

In an interview, C.O says he has been rehearsing with Mizu and is confident that he will give the best performance his fans have never seen.

“I know Mizu Band and I have worked with most of the band members such as the drummer Amos who is the one who did the arrangement for my album, so that makes it easier for us to work as a complete unit,” said C.O.

The two-time Big Brother representative and former FM 101 DJ says he does not want to have supporting artists as he takes the performance as an opportunity to interact with his fans.

“I want to have time to intimately interact with my fans plus Blue Elephant is tiny and having a lot of artists would be chaotic,” says the dreadlocked musician.

C.O says that the performance will give him the platform to clear the mist that surrounded his going solo.

“When people separate ways always there is a lot that is said and I would like to take this time to come clean that there is nothing more important to me than family,” says C.O.

C.O’s third single Tithana from the Solo album debuted on Thursday on MBC’s On the Move radio programme.

C.O promises his Lilongwe fans that it is in his plans to hold another show in Lilongwe after Blue Elephant but could not confirm the dates as he said it is still in planning.
