Light heavy weight Isaac ‘Golden Boy’ Chilemba made it 19 straight wins in the professional ranks after defeating Rayco ‘War’ Saunders on unanmous points decision at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut, US on Saturday night.

The Malawian’s record after this fourth straight win on American soil improved for the better to (20-1-1 (9 KOs) following this eight-round non-title fight, according to www.thatboxingvoice.com.

The website reports that Chilemba, who last lost in 2005 in the professional ranks, landed numerous uppercuts outworking his outmatched opponent. Chilemba’s trainer Buddy Mcgirt said the fight went as expected.

“Saunders is a tough customer, so I expected it to go eight rounds. I just want to get more work in with him to prove to the world that Chilemba will be a world champion,” Mcgirt is quoted as saying.

Chilemba, who is based in South Africa but promoted by American firm DiBella Entertainment, is also quoted as concurring with his American trainer.

“Saunders was a tough opponent and we trained to split his guards with the uppercuts. I”d love to get in the ring with Zsolt. Erdie , If not I want all the world champions, you name them; Tavoris Cloud, Chad Dawson, Nathan Cleverly. If Bernard Hopkins is still around, I’ d fight him and Jean Pascal,” the Malawi told the American publication.

Before this fight, the Malawi struggled to get a suitor in America after undefeated two-time champion Zsolt Erdei pulled out of the bout complaining of broken ribs last month then his replacement Cory Cummings, too, did not pass a medical.
