Chilinde Queen close CR Mutharika with a victory

Chilinde Super Queen on Easter Monday finished Central Region Peter Mutharika Women Football League on a high note when they bagged full points at Kamuzu Institute for Sports (KIS), Lilongwe.

Chilinde stunned Queen Eagles 1-0, courtesy of Mercy Shawa’s goal in the first-half.

Despite the defeat, Eagles have finished on third position with 26 points. They have dislodged Chisomo Academy who won against Superstar on Sunday.

Eagles were awarded full points after Superstar failed to turn up for the game.

Chilinde have finished on position six with 19 points while Factured have finished at the bottom of the table with eight points.

Skippers’ Linda Kasenda won a Golden Boot after she finished with 55 goals.
