2015 TNM Super League player of the season and joint top goalscorer Chiukepo Msowoya says he has no intention of leaving Big Bullets unless he gets an offer from a foreign club.

Chiukepo’s statement comes after social media rumours linked him with a move to Be Forward Mighty Wanderers.

The marksman, however, said he has no intention of dumping the team that helped him relaunch his career for another Super League side.

The rumour started after Wanderers team manager Stevie Madeira posted on Facebook that he adores the former Orlando Pirates striker.

“Today, I must confess. I am a big fan of Chiukepo Msowoya,” Madeira said.

The post attracted scores of comments from both Bullets and Wanderers supporters.

Madeira later posted a picture of him posing with Chiukepo at TNM Super League prize presentation ceremony.

But Chiukepo has laughed off the idea of him in Wanderers colours.

“He [Madeira] is just cracking some jokes. I know him well. Yes, he is a very good friend. That’s all,” said Chiukepo.

“Right now, I am a Big Bullets player and I have no wish to join another Super League team. If I am to move, then it will be to a foreign club.”

But joining the debate on the issue, Bullets vice-general secretary Kelvin Moyo dared Madeira to try poaching the experienced striker.

“Let’s wait and see what happens. This will be an interesting year,” said Moyo.

Meanwhile, Bullets have revealed they are targeting four players—two defenders, a midfielder and a striker.

“But we cannot disclose their names now. Some clubs have ill motives. Once we announce that we are interested in a particular player, the following day you hear of them also approaching the same player,” Moyo said.

Madeira is never short of controversy. Last year he also jokingly posted about Wanderers going for Bullets striker Jimmy Zakazaka which ended up being true.

Last week, he teasingly mentioned that Wanderers would rope in two players which were also targeted by Bullets from Wizards.

Some days later, Wanderers general secretary Mike Butao announced that they had signed pre-contracts with Wizards players Rafiq Namwera and Ernest Tambe.

The transfer window opened on January 14 and the two players are expected to complete their transfer next week. n
