Civo United executive committee is scheduled to meet where among other things, it will determine the fate of veteran coach Alex Masanjala and his backroom staff.

The club’s general secretary Rashid Mtelela on Monday confirmed that the club’s executive committee is set to meet this Tuesday to review the performance in the wake of the Carlsberg Cup exit.

Civo were booted out from the Carlsberg Cup by Epac 3-2 on Sunday.

Last month, Masanjala was given a four-game ultimatum to deliver or have his position reviewed.

Out of the four games, Masanjala drew two, lost one and won one.  He was given the benefit of the doubt after the team managed to win the Carlsberg Cup round of 16 fixture against Bvumbwe Research.

“It is true, we gave the coach four games with the view of analysing the performance thereafter.

“We are meeting tomorrow [Tuesday] to determine the way forward,” said Mtelela.

However, Masanjala played down the issue recently.

“That is an administrative issue and it is in the hands of the executive committee,” said Masanjala.
