Code to host DStv shows

Two-time Big Brother Africa housemate Code Sangala will host a travel and tourism programme on M-Net, Multichoice Malawi marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda said on Friday.

Speaking when the franchise dealers dated subscribers in Zomba at the Annies Lodge, Nyirenda said MultiChoice has entered a pact with M-Net to provide Malawi travel and tourism documentaries to be aired for a year from April.

“This is good news given that Malawian viewers love to see more content from the country. Right now, we have already completed a documentary on Blantyre,” said Nyirenda.

Adding to that, Nyirenda said Studio 53 on Channel 114 will beam three bits from Malawi: How to Cook Chambo will air on April 18, a Kungoni Culture bit will come out on April 25 while Nkhotakota Pottery features on the channel on May 2.

Nyirenda also revealed that South African soaps Generations and Isidingo will be aired through the revamped Africa Magic Series and Movies.

During the event, First Merchant Bank (FMB), who are in a deal with MultiChoice, enlightened customers on how they can pay up subscription through the bank.

“Those who have no accounts can just come and pay through our cashiers at the counter. But our customers can do it the way they pay other utility bills through ATMs and our mobile banking service,” said the bank’s channel manager Denzio Likungwa.
