Both are qualified Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and Volleyball Association of Malawi (VAM) national referees.

“We could have loved that as many as possible interested individuals to participate, but due to financial constraints, we will only accommodate 12 participants,” said Mtegha.

He encouraged more women to register and participate. “This clinic is important even to individual athletes/ players; we, therefore also encourage players to participate. We would love to have more women’ participating,” he said.

According to the programme, areas to be covered are facilities, equipment and participants, playing format and playing actions, interruptions, delays and intervals, among others during the event.
