Dan Lu also shot a video of the song at the Five Star Mansion in Nigeria.

The video for his second single, One Plus One which features another Nigerian star Flavour, was shot at Flavour’s residence in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dan Lu said he has lined up a number of performances ahead on the launch of the album starting with tomorrow’s event.

“It has been a long time since I performed in Blantyre at solo show, especially after the release of Sweet Banana; hence, this will be a first of its kind to give my fans a feel of my new album ahead of the launch,” he said.

Dan Lu said the official launch of Sweet Banana will feature international acts such as Flavour and KCee.

Dan Lu broke into the music scene with Shupie in early 2000, a hit which took him across the country, brushing shoulders with musicians such as Lucius Banda.

Late last year he left for Nigeria to market himself where he managed to cultivate partnership with the likes of Kcee and Flavour.

He earlier told this paper that his visit was aimed at establishing connections to export Malawi music to an international audience.

“I believe that breaking through on international scene needs determination, networking and workable strategies. And my efforts has already started bearing fruits with Sweet Banana enjoying airplay on international music platforms such as Channel O,” said Dan Lu.
