DHL equips Kamuzu Central Hospital with sanitary materials 

DHL International Malawi has equipped Kamuzu Central Hospital with sanitary materials in a bid to enhance hygiene at the Lilongwe based referral.

The donation, made on Saturday, also saw the company conducting a clean-up operation at the children’s ward.

Valued at K3 million, the donation included soap, sanitiser, mops and buckets, according to the DHL country director Victor Sitima.

He said this was part of the company’s volunteer initiative which it carries out annually. 

“At DHL we have a belief of connecting people and improving lives. September is one of the months where we do the initiative. 

“We thought of supporting Kamuzu Central Hospital as one of the facilities where we can improve our people’s lives,” Sitima said. 

As part of the initiative, he also unveiled DHL’s commitment to plant 10 000 trees around Mulanje Mountain. 

Accepting the support, KCH chief nursing officer Maria Botha hailed DHL saying the intervention will improve the welfare of the patients.
