Sports management and consultancy company, DP Sports, has pumped K300 000 into Blantyre and Districts Darts League (BDDL) Doubles Tournament that will start on October 24.

Speaking after presenting the trophy to BDDL chairperson, Harry Msiska on Thursday DP Sports managing director Dean Pinto said they would like to grow together with the sport.

“As we specialise in providing fully integrated solutions to sports needs while building brands of private, corporate and public sector clients, we felt it wise to inject a dose of support to one of the sporting codes and darts proved to be the lucky one,” Pinto said.

While thanking the company for the support, Msiska said draw for the competition will be conducted on October 21 in the senior staff common room of University of Malawi’s The Polytechnic.

He said the contest, which is expected to be conducted at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC), The Polytechnic, Police Training School (PTS), Moth Club and Multi-Country Hall in Blantyre, will be open to all interested teams, including BDDL and social outfits. n
