The E-Wallet Talent search for 25 contestants that will compete for the National Championship to take place at an announced date came to Blantyre yesterday at Sunbird Mount Soche.

By close of business on Sunday 200 had done auditions prompting organisers to continue auditions today (Monday)

The auditions show saw the dancing category, a category that was not present in the previous E-Wallet shows, and vocal artists, who were either rapping or singing songs by local as well as international artists.

The dancers were also dancing to either local or the international hits.

E-Wallet Chairperson Felix Njawala has described the turnout of the contestants at Blantyre as motivating since more people compared to Lilongwe and Mzuzu turned up at mount Soche Hotel.

“The corporate world, the public and contestants have given a tender response to the show and we promise to give them only the cream of the cream,” said Njawala.

The show comprised a team of three judges: Marvin Hanke, Dumisani Mfune and Angella “Tigris” Mizinga. Youths who participated in the auditions expressed their will to sing for Malawians.

“Even if I win or not, I will be all around performing,” said Dalitso Nyirenda, one of the participants.
