Ecobank Malawi celebrates customer service week

Ecobank Malawi has celebrated this year’s customer service week from October 2 to October 6 with various activities to appreciate the bank’s customers and employees.

The customer service week is an annual event that recognises the importance of customer service and the people who serve and support customers daily.

As part of the celebrations, Ecobank Malawi offered cakes to walk-in customers at its branches nationwide.

The cakes were specially baked with the Ecobank Malawi logo.

In a statement, Ecobank Malawi head of brand, marketing and corporate communications Tidzi Chalamba said the customer service week is an opportunity to celebrate the bank’s customers and employees who are the key drivers of success.

He said: “We are grateful to our customers for their loyalty and trust in us. We are also proud of our staff for their dedication and professionalism.”

Chalamba said Ecobank Malawi will continue to invest in innovative products and services that meet the needs and expectations of its customers.

One of the banks customers, Arnold Phiri, a small-scale business operator, said: “I have been banking with Ecobank Malawi since 2019 and to be honest, I am satisfied with their products and services.

“Their digital banking offering such as the *326# mobile banking gives me absolute convenience to bank on my own terms whenever -wherever.”

During the week celebrated under the theme ‘Always at your service’, Ecobank Malawi also invited its executive management to serve as guest tellers at some of its branches.

Ecobank Malawi Limited is part of the Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, the parent company of the Ecobank Group, which employs over 14 000 people and serves about 29 million customers in 33 African countries.
