Ecobank raises K820m, attracts 1 800 customers

Ecobank Malawi Limited has managed to attract 1 800 new customers and raised K820 million in deposits since July when they introduced ‘Win Big with Ecobank’ Promotion.

The bank’s media and brands communications officer Lumbani Kasambiza revealed this Friday after the second draw of the promotion at the bank’s ginnery corner offices in Blantyre.

“We believe that the promotion will attract more customers in the coming months and we shall reach our target of 30 000 new customers,” said Kasambiza.

She encouraged others who have not yet won to participate, saying they still stand a chance.

During the draw, 15 people won various prizes ranging from plasma TVs, cookers, genset, T-shirts and money worth K20 000.

One customer, Ambrose Subilakwenda Nyasulu, has won for the second time. In the first draw, she won K20 000 and last week, won a cooker, a feat Kasambiza said will act as an encouragement to others.
