FIB on Saturday displayed splendid performance to bag full points with a 10-2 humiliation victory over Alliance One in the Central Region Pool League (CRPL) at Comrade Club, Area 25C.

It was a bad start for the season for Alliance One who featured five new signings in their starting line. FIB, who lost their first game 8-4 to Siege, made their mission know from the start. They created a 3-0 lead. They were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The home team had their two scores courtesy of Benson Chimala and Paul Gomani who outsmarted Maggie Phiri and Edwin Thom.

In the second-half, FIB won all six frames. Alliance One chairperson Wilson Chikumba, who said the result is not a true reflection on their performance, attributed the defeat to lack of composure from players.

In other Saturday’s results, defending champions Siege and Achewa collected full points on silver platter with 7-0 victories after their opponents S5 Ladies and Red Seas failed to turn up for the game. Incognito held Top Level to a 6-6 draw whereas Mango and Keta beat Gulliver and Ndatherapano with 8-4 victories. Michigan beat Hakunamatata 9-3 while Treatment stunned Falls 7-5.
