Football fans to cough K2000 for open stands
Footballer lovers will have to cough K2000 ($4), K5000 ($10) and K10 000 ($19) for Open, Covered and VIP Stands respectively to watch the Carlsberg Cup final between rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Big Bullets at Civo Stadium on August 29 2015.
Announcing the gate charges through its Facebook account today, the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) said it will do pre-sale of tickets from today afternoon to Friday August 28 2015.
“Places where tickets will be sold will be announced in due course. No tickets will be sold on the match day. Fans are therefore advised to get their tickets in good time on the said days,” reads the post.
Bullets FC progressed to the finals of Carlsberg Cup after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Silver Strikers, becoming the only team to reach the Cup’s finals four times.
Bullets, who are also the defending champions and the only side unbeaten in competitive matches this season, have won the Cup twice, in 2002 and last year.
On the other hand, Be Forward progressed to the finals after a 1-0 victory over Moyale Barracks at Civo Stadium.
Wanderers were the inaugural champions in 2000 when they beat Bullets 2-1 in the finals.
